The Dallas Cowboys took a calculated chance by selecting former Ohio State running back Mike Weber in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft. It had to be a long time waiting for the state of Michigan product.
If only we could be a fly on the wall to hear that conversation.
But wait, thanks to a video shared by the official Dallas Cowboys Twitter feed, you can hear the conversation. In it, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones along with head coach Jason Garrett take turns welcoming Weber. He, in turn, thanks the organization and appears to be ready to get to work.

My favorite quote from Jones to Weber — “I’d hate to 1-2 punch with you and Zeke all the way to the Super Bowl.” Let’s hope that Weber shows everyone what they missed out on by waiting so long to take a former 1,000 yard rusher that ran the third-fastest 40-time of any running back at the NFL Combine this year.
