An out-of-control bushfire which had been burning near homes in Sydney's west is no longer a threat to homes, the NSW Rural Fire Service says.
The fire was earlier burning near Mulgoa and Mayfair roads, but a wind change moved it west.
The fire threat level was downgraded from a "watch and act" to an "advice" warning just before 7:00pm AEDT.
The fire service said the blaze had spotted across the Nepean River into the Blue Mountains National Park and was continuing to burn in bushland.
Several groups of campers in the park were asked to leave.
Firefighters were set to remain on site overnight as they worked to contain the fire.
The fire service said tomorrow's weather conditions were expected to be favourable, with temperatures in the 20s and the chance of showers.
