Watch: Alvin Kamara tries out as an ESPN sideline reporter

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has done it all. He’s caught passes all over the field. He’s taken tough carries into the teeth of opposing defenses. He’s even helped out as a blocker.

On Sunday, after helping his team knock off the then-undefeated Seattle Seahawks, Kamara took on his biggest challenge yet: filling in for Dianna Russini as an ESPN sideline reporter.

Kamara filled in for Russini on a tryout basis to review the Saints’ win over the Seahawks, and really committed to the bit. Not only did he borrow Russini’s sunglasses, but he pitched his voice into something like a falsetto and did his best to mimic her mannerisms. And he killed it. It really needs to be seen to be believed:

“Man, that guy, he is just a joy to watch,” Kamara said of his own performance, “Just fun to watch all the time, humble, doesn’t really hype himself up too much, but we all know he’s out there giving his all.” He’s nothing if not self-aware.

Now, hopefully he’ll continue play for the Saints for a long time. But Kamara’s clearly comfortable in front of the cameras with a microphone in hand, and who would be shocked to see him look into a broadcasting gig?
