Now, this is how you have a bounce-back game.
No one was happy after the US Women’s National Team’s opening Olympic loss to Sweden where they trailed wire to wire. They ended up losing the game 3-0 without scoring a single goal.
That certainly wasn’t a problem on Saturday, though. The goals game aplenty against New Zealand in what was absolutely a masterful performance. They completely dominated them from start to finish.
They scored six in total including a couple of own goals forced by pressure USWNT put on New Zealand’s defense. This was domination.
