Well, that’s one way to get the ball back after a turnover.
Following an impressive interception by Florida defensive back Trey Dean, Alabama wide receiver John Metchie III had no intention of letting the Gators keep the ball. He tracked down Dean from behind, and delivered a devastating blow that knocked Dean off his feet, and separated him from the ball he had just taken away.
Alabama recovered the fumble, and avoided giving up a huge play to the Florida defense.
On the very next play, Mac Jones made up for his mistake with a wide-open touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith.
