Watch adorable video of an Edinburgh otter frolicking in the Water of Leith

A crowd gathered on the banks of the Water of Leith to watch an adorable otter splashing about.

The sleek creature drew onlookers who snapped pics and videos as he dived and resurfaced looking for his dinner.

This video, taken by amateur wildlife photographer Richard Wells shows a stream of silvery bubbles as the otter dives before surfacing to chew his catch.

The otter fished for two hours, seemly un-phased by the crowd of delighted onlookers.

Richard described the otter saying:  "Interesting beast with a number of identifying marks eg cut nose, missing chunks of fur etc."

There have been rumours of a very rare albino otter further upstream in West Lothian.
