WATCH: Adam Gase needs to earn the trust of his players amid dysfunction

Not long after the Jets fired GM Mike Maccagnan, multiple reports emerged that coach and interim GM Adam Gase wasn’t pleased with Maccagnan’s signings of running back Le’Veon Bell and linebacker CJ Mosley. Gase liked the players – he did not like the price tags.

With that information out in the open, how to Base, Bell and Mosley move forward? Both players will need to be anchors on either side of the ball. Bell is one of the best playmakers in the league, and can definitely help second-year quarterback Sam Darnold in his development. Bell has already showed maturity in handling the situation, brushing aside the reports of Gase’s discontent.

Mosley, meanwhile, is one of the best inside linebackers in the league and will no doubt be one of the Jets’ leaders on defense. Each acquisition figures to be a determining factor on Sundays for the Jets. Gase needs to earn their trust if he plans to improve this team for 2019.
