Jets head coach Adam Gase needed an energy boost ahead of the team’s preseason game against the Giants. So naturally, he sniffed some smelling salts.
Right before kickoff, Gase was caught on camera with the smelling salts. Judging from the reemergence of his wide eyes, he seemed to enjoy the smell. This may or may not be his pregame routine to get him in the zone.
Gase has always come across a bit wacky and this just adds to that perception. It’s a preseason game, but Gase’s competitiveness doesn’t make any exceptions.
Maybe the smelling salts will help the Gase and the Jets start winning games in the regular season.
