Watch: Aaron Donald was honorary falconer at LAFC game

Los Angeles is the sports capital of the world right now following a flurry of moves in NBA free agency, the Rams reaching the Super Bowl and the Dodgers looking like legitimate World Series contenders yet again.

Despite all the talk surrounding the Lakers, Clippers and other L.A. teams, LAFC in the MLS is not to be forgotten. They lead the Western Conference with 43 points and a record of 13-2-4, the best mark in the MLS.

The Rams’ two-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald attended LAFC’s match against the Vancouver Whitecaps Saturday and was selected as the honorary falconer.

The Rams shared a video of him releasing the bird before kickoff at the magnificent Banc of California Stadium.

He was sitting with movie star Danny Trejo, who’s a staple in the Los Angeles community and always at Rams games.

With all the success Los Angeles teams have had in recent years, and the potential championships LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard might bring, it’s a good time to be a fan in L.A.
