On the anniversary of his tragic death in 1993 due to heart issues exacerbated by his career as an NBA player with the Boston Celtics, there has rightfully been a lot of attention on the passing of Reggie Lewis and the aftermath.
But we felt a little more attention to the career of Lewis on the court and what he managed to accomplish in his relatively brief career in the league was in order, with Lewis shaping up to have become one of the league’s premier talents in the lead-up to his unexpected passing. One of the only players in the league who could actually hang with Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, there were so many things about Lewis worth celebrating.
