Watch a goal-den opportunity to restore Jaguar E-Type once owned by Kevin Keegan

THIS Jaguar E-Type – once owned by English footballing great Kevin Keegan – has been painstakingly restored to its former glory following a crash.

The 1972 Series 3 V12 Roadster has been finished with a historically correct Willow Green paintjob and biscuit leather interior and matching mohair hood.

The exterior brightwork was rechromed and minor upgrades added such as a period-style number plate, side mirrors and factory-standard steel wheels. Meanwhile, a stainless-steel sports exhaust and 14in wooden Moto-Lita steering wheel enhance both the aesthetics and driving experience.

The vehicle’s current owner, from Middlesex, approached specialists E-Type UK to restore the V12 after an accident left it looking battered and bruised.

But while the Kent experts found the damage was superficial, stripping the car down revealed some shoddy previous crash repairs. So the workshop team set about a thorough and long restoration – resulting in a magnificent machine worthy of its celebrity status.

E-Type UK founder Marcus Holland said: “Not only are we delighted to have delivered our client with his car back in perfect condition but we are honoured to have played a part in the ongoing story of this iconic British sports car.”
