It’s been a decade since we’ve seen nine-time MLB All-Star Gary Sheffield in the batter’s box, but the now 51-year-old slugger’s still got some impressive hand speed.
Sheffield shared a video of himself launching balls in batting practice while smoking a cigar on Instagram.
It certainly looks like Sheffield is clearing the far retaining fence, but Sheffield’s very well timed smoke puffs make it difficult to tell. If you live in Tampa, be aware that Gary Sheffield may deposit a baseball onto your roof at any time.
