Manchester United fans are not confident about their chances of landing Christian Eriksen before the summer transfer window comes to an end.
The Red Devils have been linked with a late swoop for Tottenham's star man ahead of Thursday’s 5pm deadline.
But United fans aren’t getting carried away with the idea. That’s because Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s reputation of being a tough negotiator precedes him.
United fans have seen first-hand just how tough Levy can be after the Dimitar Berbatov deal in 2008 was dragged out before the Bulgarian striker finally made the move to Old Trafford for more than £30million.
Eriksen may be in the latter stages of his contract and Spurs may be at risk of losing him for free next summer, putting Levy in a weakened position.
But from where United fans are sitting, there’s still very little chance of a deal being struck.
And that’s because they know who their club’s recruitment chiefs are dealing with.
Here’s how United fans have been reacting to the Eriksen reports.
With transfer window closing on Thursday, United do not have long to get a deal over the line for the Dane.
