Washington Wizards star launches brutal Twitter tirade as row with former teammate explodes

Washington Wizards star Kyle Kuzma exploded on social media as he took aim at Spencer Dinwiddie in response to his former teammate suggesting his ‘insecurity is loud’.

Dinwiddie played alongside Kuzma on the Wizards for the first half of the 2021/22 season before he was sent to the Dallas Mavericks as part of the package to acquire Kristaps Porzingis. The 30-year-old is now a member of the Brooklyn Nets after the Mavs completed a trade for Kyrie Irving.

On Wednesday, Dinwiddie appeared on FanDuel TV’s ‘Run It Back’ and did not hold back on Kuzma. He questioned the former Los Angeles Laker ’s day-to-day commitment to basketball and labelled him a ‘socialite’ before suggesting the forward is ‘probably not even a third star on a good team, and if you were, the Lakers would’ve kept you’.

Dinwiddie suggested he knows ‘what the priorities were’ when it came to Kuzma, before repeatedly quoting Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green by declaring ‘insecurity is loud’. The feud between Dinwiddie and Kuzma began when the former Dallas player suggested it was unacceptable to lose to Washington.

In his FanDuel TV interview, Dinwiddie had also referred to himself as potentially a second-best player on a very good team - and Kuzma went to town on the guard in an explosive Twitter thread that went viral. On Twitter, the 27-year-old wrote: “Ok so since I’m so ‘famous’ @FanDuelTV & @SDinwiddie_25 let me give you all some clout. I’m usually unbothered but things on the internet but I will not allow this delusional guy to continue to talk about my teammates and I.

“1.) insecurity is loud? The wizards & I have so much real estate on Dins***tie island. This guy got signed by a team 60ms and was traded before the following season was over.

“2.) what in the world have you won in this league? Lol you’ve been bounced around like a basketball my boy.”

Kuzma then brutally suggested Irving and Kevin Durant got the Nets to the playoffs before leaving via trade, and he made sure to post the losing record Dinwiddie and co. have tallied since the NBA Trade Deadline. He added: “3.) You can thank KD & Kyrie and the for spearheading 34 wins before the all star break (11-13 after the break) for your playoffs.

“4) 2nd option??? More like 2nd point guard Lol my man I watched you for two months at the end of your Wizards tenure (being the second option) average 8-4-4. Sounds good but glad you’re hooping now!” Kuzma continued in the Twitter thread.

“5.) and yup! I got a bag coming. stop hating lol.”

Kuzma concluded the incredible rant by making fun of plummeting value of Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency Dinwiddie said he wished to invest in. Bitcoin is currently priced around $30,000, which is way down from its 2021 high of over $66,000.

“The only way you’ll ever be worth your contract is if the NBA finally gives you your wish of getting paid in crypto *check the markets*” Kuzma tweeted along with an emoji for a downward chart. “Enjoy the clicks! Go @sixers!”

The Nets face Joel Embiid, James Harden and the third-seed Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the NBA Play-Offs. Kuzma’s Wizards finished with a 35-47 record to sit 12th in the Eastern Conference.
