Washington tight end Logan Thomas ruled out with hamstring injury

The Washington Football Team received some bad injury news in the first quarter of Sunday’s Week 4 game against the Falcons.

With Washington down 3-0, quarterback Taylor Heinicke missed wide receiver Terry McLaurin down the field. On the other side of the field, tight end Logan Thomas immediately stops and calls for a trainer. Thomas was holding his hamstring and went to the sideline in frustration.

Thomas went into Washington’s medical tent and was ruled out shortly after that.

This is tough news for Washington. Thomas is not only Washington’s second-best receiver; he is also a key cog in the running game.

With the injury to Thomas, Ricky Seals-Jones becomes Washington’s top tight end with rookie John Bates sprinkled in. Seals-Jones had Washington’s biggest catch of the season up to this point in the win over the Giants in Week 2.
