Washington State tackle Andre Dillard impresses at NFL combine

The NFL combine got started on Friday, with offensive linemen showing off their athleticism in a variety of speed and agility drills.

The Seattle Seahawks are always looking for reinforcements up front, even after one of the most successful years by their offensive line in recent memory.

One player that Seattle has already been in contact with is Washington State tackle Andre Dillard, who many believe will be a first rounder come April.

His performance at the combine on Friday did nothing to dissuade that.

Dillard finished first among all linemen in the broad jump and the twenty yard shuttle run, also finishing second in the three-cone drill and fourth in the 40-yard dash with a 4.96.

Dillard is a big, very athletic tackle prospect who has shown outstanding proficiency as a pass-blocker, but has limited experience as a run-blocker thanks to Mike Leach’s air raid style offense at Washington State.

Still, his athleticism makes him a very intriguing target for Pete Carroll and offensive line coach Mike Solari – even with Duane Brown’s recent extension and a trio of other tackles on hand in Germain Ifedi, George Fant (if he’s tendered) and Jamarco Jones.

Video of Dillard’s impressive 40-yard dash can be seen below.
