Washington running back J.D. McKissic leaves game with injury

Washington running back J.D. McKissic scored both of the WFT’s touchdowns in the team’s 17-15 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.

Unfortunately, McKissic didn’t finish the game as he was injured on a third-down reception on Washington’s final drive. Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke, facing a third-and-14, dropped the ball short to McKissic to get enough yards to go for it on fourth down.

As McKissic was going down, Seattle safety Quandre Diggs hit McKissic, and he was down on the field for several minutes. Even though McKissic was sitting up and moving, Washington’s medical staff brought out the cart to take McKissic into the locker room for further evaluation.

Head coach Ron Rivera offered no update on McKissic’s injury after the game.

McKissic is an integral part of Washington’s offense, as evidenced by his performance on Monday night. McKissic finished the game with 30 rushing yards and a touchdown, and five receptions for 26 yards and another touchdown.

We’ll keep you posted on McKissic’s status throughout the week.
