Washington releases WR Robert Davis, which could hint at Terry McLaurin’s return

The Redskins have made a couple of roster moves on Tuesday morning to prepare for their matchup against the New England Patriots this weekend. Ahead of Wednesday’s practice, when the first wave of injury information will be released, Washington let go of WR Robert Davis and CB Adonis Alexander.

The release of Alexander is not a huge surprise, as he is yet to see any game action this season. However, getting rid of Davis is sure to raise some questions, as the receiver saw a large increase in snaps on Sunday against the Giants, playing in place of rookie Terry McLaurin. The fact that the Redskins are okay releasing Davis shows that things must be progressing for McLaurin, and he can be expected back soon. If not, then this is a questionable move, at best.
