Washington Redskins release Inactive List ahead of Sundays game

Ahead of the Washington Redskins first regular-season game of the 2019 season, the team has released their inactive list against the Philadelphia Eagles.

It may come as a surprise to many to see veteran running back Adrian Peterson as a healthy scratch, but the move points to the Redskins confidence in RB Derrius Guice and his ability to get the work done on the ground. As far as the rest of the list, it is no surprise to see QB Colt McCoy and CB Fabian Moreau on the scratch list as well.

Tight end Jordan Reed is also on the inactive list, which we already knew, as he is still dealing with a concussion that was suffered several weeks ago in the preseason. It is also important to note that rookie linemen Ross Pierschbacher and Wes Martin will not go on Sunday, as they wait to make their NFL debuts.
