Redskins passed up in favor of Raiders for HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’

It looks like the crews at HBO’s documentary series “Hard Knocks” listened to Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden.

The Oakland Raiders, coached by Jay’s older brother Jon, will be the featured team on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” leading up to the 2019 regular season.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders are the second AFC West team to be featured in the HBO series, along with the 2007 Kansas City Chiefs.

Whether you are happy or sad, there is some upside and downside to the Redskins not being on “Hard Knocks.” It would have been fun to watch rookie QB Dwayne Haskins grow in front of our eyes, as well as getting a glimpse as to how Landon Collins and Josh Norman interact in the locker room.

Nonetheless, it will be high entertainment to watch Jon Gruden attempt to coach Antonio Brown, Vontaze Burfict and Richie Incognito.
