Washington Football Team with cool surprise for Ron Rivera

Ron Rivera is coaching the Washington Football Team while also going through cancer treatment.

The organization surprised its coach with a cool section of 400 cardboard cutouts before its game with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. How about they were all of friends and family?

This also comes with a charitable commitment from the team and the participants for the cutouts, with over $30,000 going to the American Cancer Society.

The cutouts will feature some recognizable faces in the stands, including the man who gave Rivera his start as a linebackers coach in Philadelphia and current Chiefs coach Andy Reid.  Bills coach (and former Eagles/Panthers assistant) Sean McDermott, Bears coach Matt Nagy, former Panthers star players like Steve Smith, Luke Kuechly, and Greg Olsen – not to mention Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan as well.

The entire Washington Football Team also arrived in Rivera Strong hoodies as the team continues to show its support for their head coach.

How sweet was adding in the coach’s dogs to the tribute? This could be a step in the right direction for a team that has been engulfed in scandal.
