As we all know, UFC 6 is coming; however, EA has been really quiet about everything. There isn’t even a release date announced. So, when a certain clip started circulating on the web that looked like leaked gameplay, fans started getting excited.
Rightly so, as UFC 5 has a lot of problems, and a lot of fans are hoping that the next game fixes a lot of the issues in the game. But, because EA has been quiet about the game, it has created this tension in the community. So, when this clip went viral, fans started speculating whether that footage was of UFC 6 or not. Well, the answer isn’t a simple yes or no.
Was There A UFC 6 Leak?
There is a bit of context needed to understand this entire situation. In Alex Pereira’s vlog during the UFC #320 fight week, there was a short part where he was shown a short snippet of a UFC game in development. You can watch it yourself here using this timestamp.
There was no mention or confirmation that this was UFC 6. It definitely was a UFC game by EA, but it wasn’t confirmed whether it was UFC 6 or not. It could be an early preview of a UFC 5 update, but it can also actually be a UFC 6 leak.
The clip itself looked like it wasn’t a simple patch. The laptop screen was split into four screens, showing four different videos. One was a short clip of one of Alex’s previous fights, the bottom was a 3D render of Alex, and the third was the recreation of that fight in the game.
By the looks of the clip, it looks like a game in development rather than an update. Plus, UFC 5 is unlikely to receive a big update, so this clip could be from UFC 6.
In short, there is no confirmation that this is a UFC 6 leak, but logically, it does make sense. To be honest, the clip doesn’t really show anything about the game, so leak or not, it doesn’t really matter.
