Was signing RB Spencer Ware a good move for Colts?

The Indianapolis Colts brought a veteran piece to the backfield Tuesday when they announced the signing of running back Spencer Ware.

Though adding to the backfield wasn’t a massive need for the Colts, the room is extremely young and in need of a veteran presence. Ware brings that along with a bigger frame to potentially work better between the tackles.

During his three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, Ware was an efficient running back. He averaged no less than 4.3 yards per carry while also serving as a functional pass catcher out of the backfield.

Given his 5-foot-10, 229-pound frame, there is a good chance the Colts look to use Ware for short-yardage situations to help keep the rest of the backfield from constantly grinding out those wear and tear snaps between the tackles.

This would certainly help keep Marlon Mack fresh and more electric throughout the game and regular season.

Though it remains to be seen how much of an impact Ware will make, was signing him a good move? Let us know in the poll below!
