Was it right to put Leeds in Tier 3? Have your say in our survey

Leeds will move into Tier 3 lockdown restrictions from 00.01am on Monday.

The announcement on Thursday night means from Monday households will be banned from mixing together indoors, in private gardens and in pubs, cafes and other venues.

And pubs which do not serve substantial meals will now have to close.

Leeds' infection rate has slightly increased again over the past few days and now stands at 415.4 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people.

A total of 586 new cases were recorded between October 27 and 28 and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust admitted they now have more people in hospital now than at the pandemic's peak in April.

Some residents have said they would welcome additional restrictions if it could reduce infection rates and mean a fewer restrictions by Christmas. But others have questioned the need for Tier 3's tougher rules and have raised fears about the local economy.

Now you can have your say in our survey - do you think Tier 3 is a step in the right direction for Leeds?
