Warzone Season 3 is one of the biggest updates yet for Black Ops 7, with a roadmap reshaping Verdansk, rotates in Avalon, and a lot more coming on April 2.
Verdansk’s southwest corner gets a new POI, and later in the season, Avalon joins big-map rotation alongside Verdansk, bringing new Gulags and fresh pacing to standard battle royale.
On top of map changes, Season 3 brings Black Ops Royale and BO7 features into the main BR, along with new tools and events. With that said, here’s a complete breakdown of the Warzone Season 3 roadmap.

Full Warzone Season 3 roadmap

All new weapons and attachments
Warzone will have six new weapons with Black Ops 7 Season 3. Two of them, the MK35 ISR assault rifle and the VST SMG, are available right away through the Season 3 Battle Pass.
The rest includes the Strider 300 sniper rifle, the returning 1911 pistol, the Siren special weapon, and the Katana melee weapon, and these are tied to in-game events and Weekly Challenges.
On top of these, the third Season also expands the attachment pool, including the VAS Convergence Foregrip to help rein in recoil, an underbarrel shotgun attachment for the Shadow SK sniper rifle, and a Spear Gun underbarrel for the X9 Maverick assault rifle, with more attachments spread across the update.
All maps

Verdansk stays in rotation, but the Hills area is gone. Launch Pad will take over that spot, the Grazna-7 Launch Complex. This is a massive POI designed as a hot-drop hub in both standard BR and the Launch Squad LTM.
Control Tower

Launch Pad includes a Control Tower, which has a smaller footprint but huge power thanks to a dominant rooftop angle over southwest Verdansk.
You can reach the top via an exterior Ascender or a ladder that leads to a viewing balcony and a Zipline across to the Hangar.
Hangar

Hangar is the tallest building in the POI and the main visual anchor. A central rocket can appear here in some modes, but even when it’s empty, the interior plays like a vertical maze with winding stairs, side platforms, and multi-level ledges that overlook both interior lanes and the Gantry outside.
Gantry

Gantry is a skeletal tower of platforms and stairways facing the Hangar, built for long-range sightlines and fast rotations. You can climb twin staircases to a mid-level walkway, then push higher for sniper positions, while the flame trench and blast doors below turn into brutal close-quarters funnels.
Depot and Vats

You can find Depot and Vats on the outer edge, where the Depot brings in a train with small high-ground pockets for catching rotations, while the rows of vats and fuel tanks create low cover and sneaky flanks between Gantry, Hangar, and the road.
You can climb onto tanks and platforms for off-angles, then drop back into offices and Guild crates when pressure hits.
Avalon rotation and Gulags
Avalon joins Core Battle Royale later in Season 3, rotating with Verdansk, so lobbies alternate between the two big maps. To match that, Avalon features three Gulag variants, all built around compact octagon-style arenas that push quick engagements.
Across all Avalon Gulags, Wall Jump is disabled. Each map has a central combat zone with an upper observation ring featuring interrogation stations, automatic doors, and reinforced glass windows that change cover placement and vision as rounds play out.

The three variants of Gulag include Server Room 04, where lanes are built from server racks and sliding doors on every inner wall, heavily rewarding sound cues and timing, Cryo Lab 05, which is packed with cryo coffins and diagonal entrances that split the arena into A and B lanes, and Meeting Room 07, which is a more open central area with low, circular seating and open doors.
New and returning Warzone Season 3 modes
Launch Squad
Launch Squad is built around Launch Pad on Verdansk and turns the new POI into its own objective-focused arena. Squads drop directly into Launch Pad, not across the whole map.

You have to collect enough Launch Codes from eliminations and other sources to trigger the Launch Sequence. Once a team activates the Launch Sequence, they become the Most Wanted squad and must survive until the match ends.
Eliminations and additional Launch Codes reduce the required survival time. No Buy Stations, no Cash, no Redeploy Drones, your only progression comes from fighting. Respawns are enabled, keeping the mode fast and aggressive.
Hot Pursuit
Hot Pursuit arrives mid-season in Black Ops Royale on Avalon and brings back a cops-and-robbers energy inspired by the original Blackout mode.

Squads of four drop into Avalon with respawns active as long as one teammate survives. Police vehicles track and chase the “robber” squads across the map.
Robbers use getaway cars, routes, and valuables scattered around Avalon to stay ahead of the chase. Alongside those, Season 3 also adds Prop Hunt Royale and Iron Gauntlet as additional modes.
Prop Hunt Royale comes with the Reloaded update, around late April or early May, and will be held on Rebirth Island with 48 players.
Iron Gauntlet is a returning LTM on Avalon with 150 players, and these rewards:
- Get WZ Iron Gauntlet 03 Weapon Charm and Weapon Vinyl with 5 Iron Gauntlet Wins
- Get Any Placement in the Iron Gauntlet leaderboard to get the WZ Iron Gauntlet Placement Emblem
- Get Top 25 on the Iron Gauntlet leaderboard to get WZ Iron Gauntlet Top 25 Weapon Camo and Emblem
- Get Top 10 on the Iron Gauntlet Leaderboard to get the WZ Iron Gauntlet Top 10 Emblem
- Get Top 5 on the Iron Gauntlet Leaderboard to get the WZ Iron Gauntlet Top 5 Animated Weapon Camo and Emblem
- Get First Place on the Iron Gauntlet Leaderboard and get WZ Iron Gauntlet #1 Animated Emblem

New movement and combat features
Wall Jump and the Grappling Hook will be available in Battle Royale and Resurgence. Flashpoint is a new Public Event centered on a launched missile, designed as a high-risk, high-reward focal point mid-match.
Spikes are a new Boost-type item you can purchase from Buy Stations. Exact stat buffs or effects are not fully detailed yet, but their purpose is to give teams another way to power up beyond normal loot, contracts, and streaks.
The Cluster Grenade is a new lethal added in Season 3. Paired with enhanced movement and the vertical design of Launch Pad, Cluster Grenades are primed to counter rooftop stacks and stairwells.
Resurgence Ranked Play Season 2
Resurgence Ranked Play returns for its second season in Warzone. Maps include Haven’s Hollow and Rebirth Island. Progression can be made by raising your Skill Rating through placements and eliminations. Rewards include exclusive cosmetics and recognition tied to your final Division when the season wraps.
