OAKLAND, Calif. _ When all else fails, the Warriors can rely on Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant.
The Warriors finished with a 129-127 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday with Curry and Durant making plays when they needed them the most. Curry scored 42 points while shooting 12-of-22 from the field, 6-of-15 from 3-point range and 12-of-13 from the free-throw line in 36 minutes. Durant added 35 points while going 10-of-19 from the field, 3-of-7 from the perimeter and 12-of-15 from the foul line.
Curry made a layup that gave the Warriors a 129-127 lead with .5 seconds remaining. Before that, Durant made a pull-up jumper, recorded a steal and sank a dagger 3-pointer that capped a 9-0 run for a 125-117 cushion with 2:57 remaining. The Clippers responded with eight unanswered points, but Curry had the final rebuttal.
The Warriors particularly needed Curry and Durant considering the circumstances. Warriors guard Klay Thompson had 12 points while shooting only 4-of-15 from the field and 2-of-6 from the perimeter.
