SAN JOSE, Calif. _ Warriors star Stephen Curry escaped injury Friday morning when he was involved in a multi-car crash on Highway 24, the team said.
Curry's car was reportedly hit twice and suffered extensive damage during the three-car crash near the Caldecott Tunnel. Curry's Porsche was first hit by a car spinning out on the rain-slicked highway before it was rear-ended by another vehicle, ABC-7 News reported.
The California Highway Patrol said there were no injuries from the three-car accident on westbound Highway 24 near the connector at Highway 13, which occurred at 8:48 a.m. CHP said rain was a possible factor in the crash.
Curry later arrived at the Warriors practice facility in Oakland and was said to be "fine," although he did not speak to reporters.
"I haven't seen him," Klay Thompson said of his teammate and fellow Splash Brother. "I heard he's all right, though."
Curry wasn't scheduled to play Friday night when the Warriors take on Portland at Oracle Arena. Curry is still sidelined with a strained groin that's caused him to miss Golden State's last seven games.
