Warriors’ Steph Curry named NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Month

Behind a red-hot start to the 2021-22 season, Steph Curry has surged his way to the top of the Most Valuable Player conversation. The Golden State Warriors point guard is already stacking up early-season awards to back the MVP buzz.

After a pair of Player of the Week awards, Curry was named the Western Conference Player of the Month for the October-November portion of the NBA season.

On the way to a sizzling 18-3 record, Curry averaged 27.8 points on 45.2% shooting from the floor with 6.6 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game. The 33-year-old guard has been on fire from long-range, drilling 41.2% from deep on 13.1 attempts per game.

The seven-time All-Star has finished eight different games with 30 or more points in Oct. – Nov., including three 40 point games and a 50 point explosion.

Curry has hit seven or more 3-pointers in seven games, including four games with nine triples. In the 19th game of the new campaign, Curry snapped his own NBA record from the 2015-16 season by becoming the fastest player to record 100 made 3-pointers in a season.
