Warriors’ Steph Curry breaks record for most 3-pointers in a single month with 83 triples in April

During an explosive month of basketball in April, Steph Curry continues to shatter records. After surpassing Kobe Bryant’s streak of 10 consecutive games with 30 or more points at age 32 or older, Steph Curry rewrote the history books on Sunday for another record.

With five triples on six attempts from beyond the arc in the first half against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night, Curry moved past James Harden for the most 3-pointers in a single month 83 triples. Harden hit 82 3-pointers in November of 2019.

To seal the record, Curry buried a jumper from way downtown. With seconds ticking away in the first half, the seven-time All-Star point guard drilled a 3-pointer from only a couple of steps inside the halfcourt line.

During his record-breaking month, Curry is averaging 38.2 points on 52.9% shooting from the floor and 47% from long distance. Curry has made 10 or more 3-pointers in four different contests during April. Along with his impressive scoring numbers, the 33-year-old guard has pushed the Warriors to seven victories in 12 games.

Along with the second half against the Kings, Curry will have contests against the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves to cap off his scorching hot shooting run in April.
