Warriors sign free agent Devyn Marble to Exhibit 10 contract

Small forward Devyn Marble is returning to the NBA. Out of Iowa, Marble was selected in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic. He played 44 games in Orlando in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons and averaged 10.4 minutes, 2.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.5 steal per game.

After falling out of the NBA, Marble played for Trento in Italy, averaging 13.3 points per game in Serie A this season, according to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando Basketball.

The Exhibit 10 contract pays the one-year minimum, with allowance for the possibility that it could be converted into a two-way contract. Additionally, the Exhibit 10 contract may include bonuses that do not count towards the team’s salary cap.

On Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic announced that free agent Marcus Derrickson signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Atlanta Hawks. Undrafted out of Georgetown, Derrickson was signed to play for the Warriors in Summer League 2018; he was later signed to a training camp contract that same year.

In 11 regular-season games in 2018-19, Derrickson averaged 6.1 minutes, 4.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. Despite the limited minutes, Derrickson was effective: He had field goal (48.5 percent) and three-point (50 percent) percentages to prove it.
