Warriors rely on Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson to defeat Magic

OAKLAND, Calif. _ The Golden State Warriors appear closer toward resolving their NBA first-world problem. They expect to have a team full of healthy All-Stars soon.

For now, the Warriors labored through a 116-110 victory over the Orlando Magic on Monday at Oracle Arena that illustrated once again they miss Stephen Curry and Draymond Green badly.

Kevin Durant posted 49 points while shooting 16-of-33 from the field, 4-of-10 from 3-point range and 13-of-13 from the free-throw line. Durant drilled a 3-pointer at the top of the key for a 113-109 lead with 21 seconds left. And Durant became the seventh Warriors player to post at least 40 points in consecutive games, including Curry, Klay Thompson, Antawn Jamison, Purvi Short, Rick Barry and Wilt Chamberlain.

Thompson added 29 points while going 11-of-23 from the field and 6-of-12 from 3-point range. Thompson also tied his career-high in fourth-quarter points (19).

The Magic featured Nikola Vucevic (30 points), Terrence Ross (28), Jonathan Isaac (15) and Mo Bamba (11) scoring in double figures.
