Warriors Playoff Rewind: Twitter airing 2016 Game 6 Klay game vs. Thunder

The 73-win Golden State Warriors were on the brink of elimination in the Western Conference Finals.

Then Klay Thompson came through and earned a new nickname.

Twitter is re-airing Game 6 of the 2016 Western Conference Finals on Thursday night, the game in which “Game 6 Klay” drained 11 3-pointers to tie the series up at six games apiece.

This game took place four years ago to the night.

Thompson had 41 points on 11-for-18 shooting from deep. Five of his 3-pointers came in the fourth quarter as he rained in 19 points in that frame to surge Golden State past Oklahoma City.

Steph Curry added 31 to elevate the Warriors to Game 7, which they would win.
