Warriors owner Joe Lacob took Steph Curry golfing at Augusta National for his birthday

The Golden State Warriors clenched their first win of the season against the Rockets on Wednesday, to finish the season series with Houston, 1-3.

Some time thereafter, Warriors owner Joe Lacob treated the franchise’s most golden player, Stephen Curry, to a round of golf, according to The Athletic‘s Marcus Thompson.

With a few days off between games and unlimited financial resources at their disposal, including access to private jets, Lacob flew Curry to Augusta National.

No other information was provided about Curry’s March 14 birthday celebration. But hopefully getting out on the green will prove refreshing, since the Warriors face a formidable foe this weekend in an ABC primetime matchup: Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Warriors should expect a hostile environment as Kevin Durant returns, once again, to compete against his former team at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

That is, if Durant plays.

The All-Star forward has has been listed as day-to-day after suffering an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Golden State’s March 10 loss to the Phoenix Suns.
