Warriors make adjustment to start DeMarcus Cousins at center in Game 2

The Golden State Warriors are facing the possibility of going down 0-2 in the NBA Finals after falling to the Toronto Raptors 118-109 in Game 1. Due to this situation, the Warriors are making the first big adjustment of the series.

Coach Steve Kerr is inserting DeMarcus Cousins into the starting lineup. The big man made his return from a quad injury in Game 1 after suffering the injury in Game 2 of their first round series with the Los Angeles Clippers.

He played eight minutes and scored 3 points on 0-for-2 shooting with two assists in the Game 1 loss. He seemed to have a little bit of trouble moving around, but clearly coach Kerr saw enough to put him back into the starting lineup.

Cousins is obviously a terrific talent and is one of the best centers in the NBA, but this is a risky move on Kerr’s part throwing a hobbled big man out there against Toronto big men Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka.

Game 2 is at 8:00 p.m. EST from Scotiabank Arena.
