The Warriors were still waiting Monday night to find out whether Klay Thompson's left hamstring injury will allow him to play in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
ESPN reported Thompson hadn't yet undergone an MRI as of early Monday evening as the test was delayed because the team's flight didn't arrive until the early morning hours.
Test results on Thompson's hamstring should be available later Monday night, according to ESPN.
Nonetheless, there were signs the injury that forced Thompson to miss the final eight minutes of the Warriors' Game 2 win over the Raptors won't cause him to miss any time. Thompson assured people after the game he'd be fine, and the All-Star guard was seen walking without a limp after arriving at Oakland International Airport after 4 a.m. Monday.
Thompson told reporters in Toronto on Sunday that he's "good" and that his hamstring "is just tight."
When pressed, Thompson then admitted he wasn't entirely certain of his status.
"Honestly, it's hard to say," Thompson said. "Thank God we got a couple of days off. But I think I'll be good to go."
