The 2019-20 NBA season is a little over two months away but the hype is building as information about the teams’ schedules trickle out in bits and drabs. Now, fans of teams in the stacked Western Conference have more cause for excitement. Today, the Golden State Warriors announced the team’s preseason schedule and it’s packed with meetings against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The restructuring Warriors will welcome the Los Angeles Lakers to their new Chase Center home on Oct. 5 and face the Lakers three more times in the preseason. In addition to Golden State’s four meetings with the Lakers, the Warriors will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 10.
Two of the Warriors’ five preseason games are on the road — both against the Lakers at Staples Center in Los Angeles (Oct. 14 and Oct. 16).
The complete 2019-20 NBA season schedule will be released on Monday, Aug. 12, at 3:00 p.m. ET, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
