Warriors' Kevin Durant, Matt Barnes, Shaun Livingston all out for Game 3

PORTLAND, Ore. _ The Warriors will be without their coach and star small forward for Game 3 in Portland, Ore., on Saturday night, plus a pair of other rotation pieces.

Steve Kerr will not coach because of an illness. Kevin Durant will be sidelined for a second straight game because of a calf strain, the team announced. Matt Barnes (foot sprain) and Shaun Livingston (hand contusion) also remain out.

"Just felt they weren't ready," Brown said. "Precautionary reasons. The more rest they can get, the better they're going to be down the stretch."

Durant practiced fully on Friday and sounded hopeful of a return, but the team apparently feels it's better to stay as cautious as possible.

Durant was seen after Saturday morning's shootaround icing his left calf and chatting with general manager Bob Myers. After the conversation, Durant looked a bit dejected as Myers crossed the court to chat with team trainer Chelsea Lane.

Patrick McCaw is expected to start in Durant's place. Assistant Mike Brown will coach in Kerr's place.
