Warriors’ Kent Bazemore entering league’s COVID-19 health and safety protocol

One day after Damion Lee entered the league’s health and safety protocol, another member of the Golden State Warriors will join him away from the team.

On Friday, the Warriors announced Kent Bazemore was ruled out against the Denver Nuggets due to the NBA’s health and safety protocol. According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the veteran guard is expected to miss seven days in the health and safety protocol.

After hosting the Nuggets on Friday, the Warriors will welcome the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves over the next week.

During Golden State’s recent seven-game, Bazemore has joined Steph Curry in the starting backcourt. While being listed in the starting lineup, Bazemore is averaging 11.4 points on 46.8% from the floor with 4.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals per contest.

With Bazemore and Lee out, Kelly Oubre Jr. could shift from the bench back into the starting lineup with Jordan Poole and Mychal Mulder receiving expanded roles off the bench.
