Warriors honor Kevin Durant by wearing special shirts during Game 6 warmups

It was obvious heading into Thursday’s Game 6 of the NBA Finals that Kevin Durant would be on the minds of everyone at Oracle Arena.

The Warriors star was 24 hours removed from surgery to repair his ruptured Achilles, which he tore in Monday’s Game 5 win over the Raptors. The morning of the game, the Warriors unveiled Durant and Oakland-themed rally towels for Game 6.

When it came time to take the floor for warmups, the Warriors were still repping their injured teammate.

Quinn Cook and DeMarcus Cousins both were seen warming up in different Durant shirts. Cousins, of course, came back this season from an Achilles injury suffered with New Orleans.

Jordan Bell also wore the shirt during warmups.

The entire team is expected to sport the KD shirts before the game.

On Thursday afternoon, Klay Thompson posted to Instagram about how the Warriors will try to finish off the series comeback for their injured teammate.
