SALT LAKE CITY _ As Draymond Green lay crumpled on the court and Oracle Arena went silent late in Game 2, Mike Brown walked over to his fallen star and braced for some tough news.
"He very seldom goes down," Brown said. "So when he did, you think that initially it's got to be serious."
But Green assured Brown it was nothing serious. After limping to the locker room for a brief stay, he returned. And following a day of treatment in Salt Lake City _ which included a massage at the hotel while his teammates practices _ Green seems likely for Game 3. The Warriors have officially listed him as probable for Saturday night with a left knee tweak.
"I knew my knee was just locking up a little bit," Green said. "I had it before, a little tweak. It wasn't like a huge sigh of relief, because I kind of knew what it was from the jump."
After his late Thursday night press conference in Oracle, Green walked down the hall and engaged in a conversation with Steph Curry's family. Dell and Seth were asking him about the knee. Green explained to them that the strange occurrence, his knee "locking up," is because he has a "weird body."
Green said he's had it happen plenty of times before and, though there is some accompanying soreness in the days after, he's not concerned about playing through it.
"I think I'll be fine," Green said. "I was able to catch it before it locked all the way up. So I think I'll be fine. One time it happened when I was in college, and I outrebounded Michigan a few days later. Their whole team. So that was pretty good."
