TORONTO _ The Warriors did not make it easy Saturday night, but they still escaped with a 127-125 victory over the Toronto Raptors to secure their 12th consecutive road win.
The Warriors (35-9) squandered a 27-point halftime lead, and after missing the previous two games with an aggravated sprain in his right ankle, Stephen Curry (24 points, nine assists, six rebounds) missed two late foul shots that were nearly costly. But then Warriors forward Kevin Durant defended Toronto forward DeMar DeRozan tightly on a mid-range jumper that went off the rim. Durant then made a 3-pointer for a 125-122 lead with 21.3 seconds remaining.
It appeared possible the Warriors would have a sluggish performance after playing on Friday in Milwaukee. But the Warriors held an 81-54 halftime lead. The story changed in the second half, though it ended with a dramatic Warriors' finish.
Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 26 points, while Durant finished with 25 points, six rebounds and five assists.
DeRozan scored a game-high 42 points for the Raptors.
