Draymond Green returns from early injury vs. Clippers

The Golden State Warriors’ new season in their new arena couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start on Thursday night against the Clippers. Golden State missed their first six shots of the game to fall behind 14-0 – but more importantly, the Warriors lost All-Star forward Draymond Green just minutes into the season to an apparent right arm injury.

D’Angelo Russell scored 10 quick points to pull the Warriors back into the game.

Green’s injury was labeled a “right elbow contusion,” and his return to game was “to be determined.”

UPDATE: Green returned to the game in the second quarter with his right elbow and forearm wrapped. Green was later seen grimacing on the floor midway through the quarter.

After years of Warriors dominance, there were plenty of fans reveling in Golden State’s tough start.
