OAKLAND, Calif. _ Both the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets mostly stopped bickering at the officials. Instead, they played basketball.
The Warriors finished with a 115-109 win over the Rockets on Tuesday Oracle Arena for a 2-0 series lead in the Western Conference semifinals. They did so by worrying less about the calls and focusing more on their play.
The Warriors featured plenty of offensive balance with Kevin Durant (29 points), Klay Thomopson (21), Stephen Curry (20), Andre Iguodala (16) and Draymond Green (15 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists). The Warriors limited their turnovers. And they took more field-goal attempts (91) than the Rockets (77), a statistic Warriors coach Steve Kerr considers important in a game's outcome.
There were still some moments of adversity. Curry dislocated his left middle finger in the first quarter before playing with tape around it. Green collected his 4th technical of the postseason, leaving him three shy of a one-game suspension. Rockets guard James Harden, who had 29 points on 9-of-19 shooting, suffered an eye injury in the first quarter.
The Warriors, though, mostly concentrated on their play. The Warriors and Rockets play Game 3 on Saturday in Houston.
