Warriors' Curry, Thompson undeterred by shooting slump

Neither Stephen Curry nor Klay Thompson seemed particularly affected by their recent shooting woes.

Even with media and fans focused on the Splash Brothers splatting pretty often this week, the Warriors stars shrugged off such worries.

"I'm not making shots. But that doesn't change my approach," Curry told reporters after Thursday's loss to the Bulls. "Obviously you want to take good ones. You don't want to just chuck 'em up. But the reason I take 'em is I feel like I can make them. Been that way my whole career. Won't change based on three games."

Said Thompson, "Nothing to worry about. Just a few bad shooting games. It's just life. Sometimes the ball doesn't go in. But the shots felt great. I wasn't missing them left or right. They were all on line. As a shooter, you can't let that dishearten you. You just got to keep shooting."

In the past three games, spanning four days, Curry is 4 for 31 from 3-point land (13 percent) and 26 for 70 overall (37 percent) while Thompson is 7 for 33 from deep (21 percent) and 17 for 59 overall (29 percent).

Those low rates have led the two to average 22.3 and 16.7 points, respectively, in that stretch.

Still, Curry dispelled the idea that he was lofting less-than-great attempts.

"The ones down the stretch were decent looks," Curry said Thursday. "Obviously, I didn't have anything going from the outside. You try to kind of will yourself into making some. Just... Another one of those nights. We've had a couple in a row, where the shots we normally make don't fall. But that's not the reason we lost."

Draymond Green may have had the most succinct, and most cliche, take on Curry and Thompson's troubles.

"The shots just aren't falling right now," Green said.
