Warriors assisted on every made field goal in second half in Game 2

The Golden State Warriors are known for their passing wizardry and second half dominance. They needed to call on that type of performance to beat the Toronto Raptors 109-104 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals and earn the 1-1 split.

Trailing 59-54 at halftime, the Warriors opened the third quarter on an 18-0 run, as part of an NBA Finals record 20-0 run, on their way to the win.

Overall in the second half, Golden State made 22 field goals and they assisted on all 22 of those made field goals. None bigger than Shaun Livingston finding Andre Iguodala for an open three-pointer to seal the game late after a mad scramble for the ball.

Draymond Green led the Warriors with nine assists to go along with 17 points and 10 rebounds as he finished one assist shy from a second straight triple-double in these Finals. His play set the tone in the second half to push Golden State to this win.

The Warriors have always played team basketball whipping it around and getting guys involved, but 22 assists on 22 made field goals is just an absurd number. The amount of sacrifice that the guys on this team make and the willingness to play together is so impressive and it’s why they are now three wins away from a third straight title.
