Warrenpoint Town appoint Rodney McAree as new first team coach

Warrenpoint Town have announced Rodney McAree as the club's new first team coach.

Former Dungannon Swifts and Coleraine manager McAree comes into the role with immediate effect.

The 46-year-old will assist manager Barry Gray at Milltown.

“Rodney is a super addition to the senior staff, he will be a great asset to Gavin and I, and we are really looking forward to getting going," Gray told the club's website.

"Rodney has so much experience at Premier league level as both a manager and coach, his knowledge and experience will be massive to me as we move forward with our preparations and progression with the new panel.

"We must also give thanks to the outgoing Robert McQuillan who steps down from the post.

"Robert has played a vital role through the first team transformation over the last 12-plus months."
