Warrenpoint Town announce signing of centre-forward Greg Moorhouse

Warrenpoint Town have completed the signing of Greg Moorhouse.

The centre-forward is no stranger to the Irish League after he spent a number of seasons at Glenavon in separate spells.

Moorhouse has had spells with SSE Airtricity Premier Division clubs Sligo Rovers and Shelbourne.

Speaking to the club website the 27-year-old said: “Delighted to have signed. Looking forward to working with a great bunch of players and management. Very hopeful we can have a successful season together.”

It is understood the new signing has already began training with the squad.

Manager Barry Gray said: "Greg is a very welcomed addition to the panel, especially being an out and out centre forward.

"Greg knows the league having previously played with Glenavon and while he’s missed a few weeks pre season I expect he will find his feet very quickly.”

Warrenpoint Town were in action on Tuesday night, playing away to Armagh City in a friendly.

The visitors ran out 1-0 winners with the only strike of the game coming from Alan O'Sullivan.

The Point are in action again this Saturday, taking on Ballinamallard.
