Warren Gatland's daughter reveals incredibly embarrassing guilty pleasure her dad enjoys at home

Warren Gatland could do without any scandals hitting the Wales camp ahead of their World Cup campaign, but is about to find himself embroiled in huge controversy.

Because it has been revealed that the Wales coach is an avid Love Island viewer.

The revelation was made by his daughter Gabby in a BBC documentary to be broadcast on Monday night.

Speaking to Eddie Butler she says: "In dad's down time he likes us to come to the hotel, and be around him, so we definitely see what's going on.

"I think during the week leading up (to a game) he's very calm, very relaxed, but then the day before and the day of, very different, very different atmosphere.

"He's very serious, quite nervous and he doesn't talk as much, so you sort of, you go through waves of really happy and talkative and then quite stressed and quite nervous."

When asked if her dad has any guilty pleasures she replies:

"His most recent guilty pleasure, which he's going to kill me for saying, is Love Island.

"He will deny it, deny it, deny it, but I watch it and he sits there and he's laughing away at the boys and then I think he can chat to the players if they're all watching it as well."

Gatland has so far failed to respond to the allegations made against him.

Eddie Butler's Rugby World Cup is on BBC One Wales at 8.30pm on Monday night ans available on the iPlayer.
