It didn’t rate a mention on Sky’s yellow breaking news ticker tape.
Nor would it have been spoken too much in rugby clubs from Colwyn Bay to Carmarthen on Tuesday evening.
But, still, Leon Brown’s recall to the Wales set-up could prove significant in the long run.
Remember him?
He’s the 6ft 2in, 20st 4lb colossus who blocks out the sun when journalists interview him.
Brown isn’t just big. He can also shift, scoring tries in two different games against the Ospreys in 2020 that saw him fairly belt through the south-west Wales team’s defence. Tight-head props are not supposed to do stuff like that. Racing 30 metres for a try has never been in any manual for the position. But Brown did it, not once but twice.
Coaches and fellow players raved about the player he could become. Richard Hibbard called him ‘a fantastic beast who could be a future Adam Jones’, while Aaron Jarvis reckoned the young titan could become ‘one of the best tight-heads in the world'.
Former Dragons director of rugby Dean Ryan, not a man to throw compliments around like confetti, reckoned the big man had huge presence and potential.
But injuries intervened, the latest one being a neck problem that’s kept him out for nine months.
It’s been a good news week for him, though.
First came his Wales squad selection for the Six Nations, a significant vote of confidence from Warren Gatland; second came his inclusion in the Dragons squad to face the Lions in Newport on Sunday, putting him on course for his first outing since last April.
But amid the headlines about a new captain and four uncapped players, it's all been a bit low key for Brown.
Whatever, former Dragons coach Ceri Jones is one of those who reckons Brown’s return to action and prominence is a significant plus for Wales.
“I have a lot of time for Leon,” said the former Wales international tighthead.
“He is a player with a lot of potential, very much a Warren Gatland type of player.
“For a prop, he’s really athletic.
“In the past, Warren has wanted his teams to be fitter than all their opponents, and Leon suits that model in terms of his carrying ability, his workrate in defence and his other stuff around the field.
“Do I view him as a significant asset to Wales? Massively so.
“If he’s brought on at the right pace there’s no reason why he can’t really establish himself as an international player."
Jones recalled those scores against the Ospreys three years ago.
The first saw him take a short pass and pound through the cover for a touchdown that had Sean Holley enthusing from the commentary box: “Is there a better sight in rugby than a tighthead prop coming on an angle at an inside ball, and running 30 metres to score?!"
“There are not many props in world rugby who can do that sort of thing,” said Jones. “It was outstanding.”
Yet the doubters still wonder.
They still wonder if Brown is a Test-class set-piece operator.
He certainly looked to have huge promise as a scrum anchor during his days with Cross Keys, when he regularly got the better of opponents. If he's taken time to push on in the professional game, there were signs before his neck injury that he was developing significantly in the pushing and shoving game.
“We did a lot of work with him while I was with the Dragons and Wales forwards coach Jonathan Humphreys came in as well,” said Jones, who is now head coach of RGC 1404.
“There were a few technical matters we tidied up.
“He was coming on really well.
“We were trying to make him understand that a good game for a young tighthead is to have a solid platform in place. It’s not necessarily about destroying every opponent.
“Leon will give you so much around the field in terms of his tackle count and his carries and everything else that he does that it’s always worth having him on hand.
“As he developed more and became older and stronger, we were going to build more of an attacking platform off the back of that.”

The Test game is unforgiving, especially for a young tighthead prop, but Jones believes Wales will reap long-term rewards by investing in Brown. “Returning to fitness and having an opportunity will be great for him, because he’s had a lot of time out,” he added.
“Given enough time in that international set-up and enough time on the field, I don’t see any reason why he can’t develop into a significant Test player.
“I guess Wales feel they can get him back in there, Jonathan Humphreys can work with him because they’ll do plenty of live scrummaging in training and see how he’s progressing.
“International rugby tends not to have as many scrums as regional or club rugby, with there being fewer mistakes, hence fewer scrums.
“I guess they are thinking, if he comes on for 20 minutes, there’ll probably be only one or two scrums, so it might be worth taking the risk.
“Sometimes with young players you have to go for it.”
At 26, Brown should be hitting his prime but all the setbacks have meant he’s still putting miles on the clock.
But if he does realise the potential those who have worked closely with him insist he has, all the effort will have been worthwhile.
