The Yorkshire Ripper ’s old stereo is on sale for £7000.
Ghouls can enjoy criminal records on the boombox – which is adorned with a crude self-portrait by its evil former owner.
The late mass killer Peter Sutcliffe had the portable sound system in the late 80s when he was a patient at Broadmoor secure hospital.
Now warped followers can snap up the system, which the monster used to play albums by his favourite artists such as Neil Young and U2.
A source said: “Sutcliffe was a big pop fan but having this in your house would mean anything but easy listening.”
The killer had emblazoned the CD-cassette combi with a cartoon-style image of himself surrounded by a crescent moon, a star and black spirals on the top in black marker, dated his handiwork 5.9.87 and added his PWS initials.
He also scrawled the message “hands off” in an apparent warning to fellow patients and scribbled the name of another favourite group, The Who.
On the back, he had written a quote from US advertising guru William Bernbach, which reads: “Nothing is so powerful as an insight into human nature… what compulsion drove a man, what instincts dominate his action… if you know these things about a man, you can touch him at the core of his being.”
The Ripper died in November last year at 74 after getting Covid behind bars.
He was serving life for killing at least 13 women between 1975 and 1980.
His stereo is on sale on US site Supernaught, which has a long history of trading in Sutcliffe’s possessions.
The site tells would-be buyers: “This was purchased several years ago directly from a sibling of Sutcliffe.”
The killer was said to have had an eclectic taste in music including reggae, Mozart, the Eurythmics and Joan Baez’s LP Feminine Touch.
Sutcliffe also inspired bands, including punks Siouxsie And The Banshees, who wrote about the killer on their track Night Shift.
